Hand-hammered and hand-engraved copper or silver tinned copper. The surface has a beautiful, aged patina that reflects its historic origin.
Features highly intricate Ghalam-zani style metalwork. The surface is decorated with dense, finely chiseled vegetal scrolls, floral motifs, and teardrop or leaf-shaped panel outlines traditional to Persian and Middle Eastern art.
The vessel has a distinct long, slender neck accented by a central raised ring, transitioning down into a wide, bulbous body and resting on a flared pedestal base. This shape is highly characteristic of historical Islamic water vessels or the lower bases used for hookahs / nargiles.
