Hello. I want to say that I always try to describe the items as best as I can. I do not claim to be an expert on the majority of the items I sell. If there is a problem or defect with the item you purchased, please contact me before leaving feedback and DO NOT open a case. I will 100% make it right. This is a lure invented by Chester W Dyczkowski back in 1956. He passed not too long after getting this patent so these lures have just sat in the box for how many years now? I would guess 50 plus so the lure might have a tiny spec of rust started. That can be fixed.
This hook is super interesting in how it is made. It is described as a Multiple Hook Fishing Device. It looks like a metal body you would insert in a rubber frog. When the fish strikes, the legs (hooks) spread out fast into the mouth of the fish via the end part of the lure where your line is attached to, like a trap. In other words, when you pull on the line, the hooks do the rest of the work. Sounds effective.
This does have the original box and papers with it. Both show a little bit of use, storage use, age etc. etc.
After getting patent approval, Chester then named this lure, Lite Striking Fish Lure.
If you're a collector, this is a nice piece to have.
I sold a few gold colored Lite Striking Fish Lures a year or so ago here on eBay. I just have the normal gray/silver like this one colored left.
