This wood Hand carved, sitting Pinocchio, was created by the Italian Legendary artist, Bartolucci. The difference between this piece and the very few others you may see, this piece is hand signed by the artist. The others, were created as a more “mass” produced version (I hate to say that because even those are very Rare). However, they simply have a plaque with the artist name. This piece has been hand signed by Mr Batolucci. We do know, it is 100% his live signature however we cannot guarantee the reason stated, as it has no documentation, simply a story given go us by the woman who donated it and received it from the artist. That being said, we were told he made a few for friends and family that did not go to the “retail” line where the plaque with his name was added. Instead he personally signed them in the same location the plaque is installed on the others and gave them to his close friends and family. Once again, that is what we were told, we have no documentation stating this, etc. Regardless, having a piece hand signed by the artist is ALWAYS.
