Description: (Includes the photos)

For Sale: Vintage Brahmin women's checkbook wallet organizer.

Croc-patterned embossed two-toned brown cowhide leather body with smooth tan leather flap and trim.  Cream saddle stitching throughout. Prym brass snap flap hardware. Black nylon compartment lining.

Interior features: multiple card slots, clear ID window, bill compartment, and large upper pocket for checkbook or documents.

Bears the classic Dartmouth, Massachusetts sailing ship logo — from Brahmin's early era.

Note: The date estimate is based on the style of the logo and the item’s   source.

Dimensions: 7 1/4" (width) x 4 1/4” (height) x 7/8” (depth.)

Identifying Marks: “Brahmin, Dartmouth, Massachusetts, USA” around a sailing ship (all embossed on the front flap.)

Condition: Condition is very good. The leather retains its rich color and suppleness, the stitching is intact, and interior nylon lining is in excellent condition. There is some light scuffing of the leather, but nothing distracting. Note: the new owner might find the application of a leather conditioner beneficial. The brass snap is toned with a touch of verdigris and there’s wear and a ding on the plastic ID window.

 Please study the photos.

The Fine Print:

Descriptions: I try to provide accurate descriptions, but I’m not an expert -- my assessments can be off, and AI and internet sources may not be correct. I try to list defects that are hard to see, but I might miss something, so do zoom in on the scans.

Photos/Scans: These are an important part of the description. You need to examine them closely. If you see something you don’t like, there’s a good chance it’s still going to be there when you open the package. Still, it might be just a shadow or lighting. Also, there might be something missing that you need to see. So, if it’s a deal breaker, please ask me about it before buying (or not buying). Note: The sale includes only the item(s) detailed in the written description. Not included are unrelated items added for scale or ambiance, e.g., a coin.

Definitions:
“Antique” means at least 100 years old, while “Vintage” means at least 50 years old. Often, this is just my estimate and should not be taken as an expert assessment.

“Crazing” is a pattern of fine cracks that commonly develops in the glazing of ceramic items with age and thermal stress.

Delivery Time: Any time given in this listing is an eBay estimate – not mine, and it is not guaranteed. The USPS does not guarantee delivery times for the First Class, Ground Advantage, and Priority Mail shipments that I use. Delays on their part are always a possibility, especially during the holidays. This is rarely an issue but be aware.

Sales Taxes: eBay will collect and remit your local sales tax(s) on your purchase in accordance with applicable state law. My being in tax free New Hampshire won’t save you.

Returns: items may be returned for a refund within 30 days. You may have to pay for the return shipping.

Questions: Asking about an item is easier than returning it. If you notice an error in this listing, please let me know. Corrections are welcome.
