Traditional antique wrought iron clinker poker / hearth rake with hand forged loop handle and unusual flattened hooked end designed for pulling embers, ash and coal clinkers within an open fire or grate.

A wonderfully primitive fireside piece with strong country house / farmhouse character. Hand forged from solid iron with attractive age, blackened patina and honest wear throughout.

The shaped end differs from a standard pointed poker and is more typical of an old clinker or hearth rake tool used to break and drag fused coal deposits (“clinkers”) from the fire grate.

Good antique condition with age related wear, surface marks and natural patina consistent with years of use. Structurally solid with excellent decorative presence.
