Never utilized, tested good, MTH 40-1000 Z-1000 AC 100 Watt Transformer with Whistle/Horn & Bell & Direction controls for O/027 gauge or S gauge AC trains.  This transformer is from a new-old stock set produced in 2006. 

This was the Large MTH set AC transformer before they transitioned to the DCS Explorer sets with the fixed DC power supplies.  

This 40-1000 / Z-1000 transformer features 2 part construction with separate heavy transformer brick (can remain on floor) and light weight controller (for table top), 100 Watts variable AC power, Horn/Whistle, Bell & Direction control buttons, large knob throttle/ track voltage control, power & overload indicator light, 14v Fixed AC Accessory Power Terminals, 6 Amp Manually Re-Settable Circuit Breaker protection, original set boxes, banana plug power wires and original instruction sheets.

This transformer provides sufficient power to run all basic AC powered trains and power some layout accessories.  The brick is jack compatible with other MTH conventional and DCS digital controllers.   

Additionally, this is a fine alternate power source for the LionChief line of engines that will also enable the running of conventional engines (but not at the same time!)  To run/power a LionChief engine just put the engine on the track, turn the transformer control to full power and then run everything from the LionChief engine remote.

Comes with the original set boxes, banana plug power wires & original instruction sheets and I will wrap & pack with care prior to shipment. 

Given the weight of the transformer I'm making shipping destination dependent and I will ship the day after payment is made.  I do not anticipate being able to combine ship this item with others.
