Hasselblad C 16 S on film. Fully functional and in very good condition. Comes with a darkening shutter.

Please note that this is a C16S, 4 x 4 square format, not a C16, which I believe is a 6 x 45 film.

Hasselblad C16S (often referred to as A16S or "Superslide" magazine) is a specialized film for the Hasselblad V system, designed to produce 16 "Superslide" images (4 x 4 cm) on standard 120 film. These 41 mm square images were designed to fit into standard 35 mm slide frames for projection.

This also allows you to produce 16 square images on 120 film, but with a smaller negative. Therefore, it's slightly more economical to use.

The film back is fully functional and shows only very minor signs of use—please see the photos, as they are part of the description.

I inspected the light seals to see if they needed replacing, but they appear to be in very good condition and likely could have been replaced during the life of the back, so I left them as is.

The shutter is in very good condition.

The film insert is in very good condition.

The ASA sensitivity adjustment range rotates correctly.

I didn't have the opportunity to fully test the back with film and then develop it to check for light leaks, as I don't have a Hasselblad camera to test the back.

When in use and when mounted on the camera, the back automatically advances 16 frames per roll. It includes a frame counter that stops automatically.

Based on the serial number and some research, I believe it was made in 1958, but that may be incorrect. However, it's in excellent condition for its age.
