Micro USB Input · 2A · 2–24V to 5–28V Adjustable
A compact, high-efficiency step-up (boost) converter module based on the MT3608 IC, with a Micro USB input connector for powering directly from the abundance of Micro USB cables and chargers most workshops already have to hand. The output is fully adjustable via the onboard multi-turn trimmer potentiometer, giving you anywhere from 5V up to 28V from input voltages as low as 2V. Ideal for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LED drivers, battery-powered projects and small DIY power supplies.
| IC | MT3608 |
| Input Connector | Micro USB Type-B (plus solder pads) |
| Input Voltage | 2V to 24V DC |
| Output Voltage | 5V to 28V DC (adjustable) |
| Maximum Output Current | 2A |
| Switching Frequency | 1.2 MHz |
| Conversion Efficiency | Up to 93% |
| Adjustment | Onboard multi-turn potentiometer |
Set the output before connecting your load. Apply input power, measure the OUT pins with a multimeter, and turn the trimmer screw until you reach the voltage you need. The output must always be higher than the input — this is a boost converter only, it cannot step voltage down.
Maximum 2A output is achieved at lower step-up ratios. Drawing the full 2A at the highest output voltages will exceed the IC's thermal rating; size your project accordingly.
