Genuine antique primitive wooden end table / chest of drawers dating to the early 1920s.
Handcrafted folk furniture made of solid wood, featuring a deliberately slanted top designed for standing use.
This piece reflects everyday rural life before mass-produced furniture — simple, functional and honest in construction.
The slanted surface was intentionally made to support objects at an angle, preventing slipping during use.
Today, it works beautifully as a decorative storage cabinet or styling piece in farmhouse, primitive, wabi-sabi or rustic interiors.
Simple and one of a kind item has only one internal space under the hinged lid with primitive pull on the top.
We wrapped it in a layer of white chalk paint, hand distressed and sealed with wax. Its original brown color nicely penetrates through distressed areas.
Great well worn vintage condition with many naturally distressed areas, odd marks, scratches and missing wood bites. The surface is smooth, clean and safe and it can easily be combined with any modern interior.
