Having already performed a lifetime of service on a French rooftop, this distressed slate has recently been repurposed with the addition of graphics inspired by by late 19th century English advertisements and shop fronts. LAST TWO IMAGES.

Traditional string attached to the top edge for hanging.

Using skills acquired over a lifetime of gainful employment, the gilded graphics have been applied with both precision and permanence, by a highly accomplished, retired English signwriter. 

Although presented here on an artist's easel, it would certainly be more at home hung against a Farrow & Ball decorated contemporary interior space. Displayed as a work of art in its own right, as it were. IMAGES 7, 15 & 17.
