Genuine 1970’s vintage Frye “Campus” Boots (Model 2556) with a classic block heel and rounded square toe.
Iconic American hand-made boots, known for their quality and durability - designed to last a lifetime!
Great for adding classic boho/Western style to an outfit.
These boots have the Frye black and gold label stitched into the right hand boot, this label was used on boots made from 1970-1980 (from 1981 onwards it was a black and white label).
Pull on style, with internal straps to help pull them on.
The leather has lovely patina/aged look as you would expect.
Labelled a US size 7.5, which is a UK size 5.
The D indicates that these are slightly wider fitting boots than normal.
As these are vintage boots, please compare these approximate measurements with an existing pair of your boots/shoes to help ensure a good fit (measurements are also shown in the photos):
Boot Height: 12” (measured from the top of the sole to the top of the boot)
Calf Circumference: 14.5”
Heel Height: Just over 2”
Length from heel to toe: 11”
Width of sole at widest part: 4”
Condition - please refer to the photographs, but to summarise:
Good vintage condition with an authentic patina/aging to the leather. The leather shows light scuffing in places and natural creasing at the ankles, which adds to the vintage character.
The soles and heels are the originals, and as such are worn (although the photos may seem to make them appear dirty, they’re not, it’s the aging of the sole itself).
On the back of both heels the very top line of stitching has come away, but isn’t very noticeable due to the creasing of the leather in this area.
Due to the value of these boots the postage option is via Royal Mail special delivery next day service.
I only sell items that I would be happy to buy myself, and take as many photos as I can but please get in touch if you have any questions at all.
