DESIGNER:   JOHANN JOACHIM KÄNDLER (1706 - 1775) was head of plastic design in Meissen from 1742 to 1775. He is the best-known and most famous Meissen modeler and was responsible for the design of famous series such as shepherd figures, comedian children, gardener children (together with Acier), Paris crier (with Reinicke and Meyer), gallant figure groups, etc. responsible.
Kändler designed this cupid model in 1757.
