This kit is designed to replace all the visible external fairing bolts with nice shiny stainless steel bolts and swap the dzus studs for fresh studs. The bolts are as near to the original Yamaha bolts as we can get. They all have a button head with a 4mm Allen Key hex in the top.
This kit will replace all the quarter turn fasteners with GENUINE dzus Fasteners plus all the threaded bolts that secure the upper and lower main fairings and rear fairings. This kit also replaces all the necessary clips well nuts and washers including the screen bolts and well nuts.
The dzus supplied with this kit have Allen Key (Hexagon) Head dzus bolts. Posi/ Crosshead dzus studs are also available if you prefer to keep the look similar to the original Yamaha studs. Please message us or leave a note on the order screen.
This kit features high quality Stainless Steel pan head bolts with a head diameter of 13.5mm (m5), 14mm (m6) and large (18mm diameter) headed shoulder bolts. These bolts are Stainless Steel which are better than standard zinc plated bolts as they won't rust and have a shine that lasts for years.
These are not Yamaha bolts, they are bolts we have had made from Stainless Steel to replace/upgrade the standard Yamaha bolts. They have a similar head shape, thread diameter and thread length dimensions to the standard bolts so will look like original bolts but remain rust-free for a lot longer. Different sized bolts are packaged separately in groups to make it easy for you to replace each standard bolt with the corresponding Stainless Steel bolt from Speedy Fasteners.
This kit does NOT include the rubber fairing and front fender grommets. Not everybody wants to change these, and to keep the costs down they are not in this kit. This kit includes all the spacers/shoulders required to correctly space your bolt head from the fairing to prevent pinching or over-tightening of the fairing. These spacers are also made from stainless steel to prolong the life of this bolt kit.
