This a one of a kind Albert Staehle signed and retouched calendar print of Butch The Cover Dog from 1949. Staehle drew this for the Brown & Bigelow (a leading producer of playing cards at the time), they used it for their annual calendar as well as their playing cards.

"Albert Staehle also sometimes added paint strokes to the larger Brown & Bigelow calendar prints, painting over his printed signature and resigning the pieces. I have one of the 1949 "Let's Go" calendar prints that is so well touched up by the artist it appears to be an original painting."

Overall it measures 17.75" x 14.5", the image inside the mat is 12.75" x 10", the colors are super bright and clear.

Also comes with an original B&B calendar poster / print that measures , the months / lower part have been cut off.
