The Bosch EXPERT S1256XHM is a carbide-tipped multi material reciprocating saw blade designed for professional tradespeople who need consistent, long-lasting performance across a wide range of tough building materials.

Many blades marketed as multi material perform adequately in wood and mild steel but fail when they encounter hardened screws, fittings, or reinforced composites. The S1256XHM addresses this directly — its Bosch Carbide Technology integrates carbide into the tooth structure to cut even the hardest grades of steel, repeatedly and reliably. It is rated to last up to 50x longer than the Bosch S3456XF blade in tough materials.

The progressive tooth pitch, ranging from 6 to 8 TPI, allows the blade to tackle both thin and thick materials in a single pass without swapping blades. A thick gauge body maintains stability and accuracy during heavy-duty cuts, while the tapered tip improves access in confined spaces — particularly useful during strip-out or renovation work.

Suitable for wood containing hardened nails, cast steel pipes (up to 8"" diameter), glass fibre reinforced plastic, epoxy, and construction composites, this blade is well matched to demanding site conditions where blade life directly affects productivity. It fits all S-shank reciprocating saws.
