Before JOFA's dominance in the market, ABC (AB Bröderna Claesson) was the premiere artisan choice in Sweden. This helmet, manufactured in Kungälv, is a preserved specimen of mid-century industrial sports design.
Verified, Dual-Facing Provenance: This helmet doesn't just look old; it wears its specific history. It carries genuine team identification marks on both the front and rear. A weathered, 'ghosted' marker stain overlaps the front ABC logo, and a clear, faded player number residue (what appears to be a '11') is 'ghosted' onto the rear, above the 'Design 669' registration. This isn't damage; it's provenance, linking this helmet to its specific playing days.
Integrated Branding: Rather than fragile decals, this shell features permanent branding. The 'ABC' logo is embossed directly into the front crown, and the 'Design 669' registration is embossed on the rear right.
Original 1967-Era Interior: The interior features the complete, original white suspension and padding system. While the padding is structurally complete, the foam has naturally softened and lost its original firmness over the decades. It wears an honest, extensive patina of stains and discoloration from years of storage.
Mid-Century Aesthetics: With its signature vertical ventilation slits and deep red luster, the 669 model is a standout example of early European hockey design.
