Botas has long been the "Gold Standard" of Eastern Bloc hockey, and the 2000 model was their bold entry into the era of modern synthetics. By combining the legendary leather craftsmanship of the Czech Republic with high-visibility yellow Kovopol holders, white HDPE outsoles, and neon green accents, Botas created a skate that was impossible to ignore on the ice.
The Kovopol "Yellow" Chassis: The bright yellow Kovopol holders are the most recognizable feature of this era, representing a peak in 1980s European industrial design.
The White Synthetic Outsole: The use of white HDPE was a major leap forward, ensuring the boot remained lightweight and structurally rigid even in the wettest conditions of the era.
Phenolic Armor: These feature specialized Phenolic Nylon toecaps. Unlike the brittle plastics of the time, these were designed for maximum impact resistance while remaining in near-flawless condition.
Ballistic Hybrid Construction: By mixing Ballistic Nylon with leather, Botas achieved a boot that was lighter and faster-drying than their traditional all-leather models.
Quarter Package & Graphics: The ballistic nylon is clean with zero fraying. The neon green branding remains incredibly vibrant.
Hardware: The yellow holders and white outsoles are in excellent condition with no stress marks. The high-carbon runners show full life and are sharp.
Toe Caps: Almost flawless; shows only one minor scuff upon close inspection.
Interior: The tan leather linings are soft and appear barely worn. The white foam insoles are clean and intact.
Laces: The original factory laces are present and remain in excellent condition.
