This impressive 11.5-inch wall plate is a masterpiece of Israeli metalwork from the Mount Zion workshop. It features a central Crown of the Twelve Tribes in raised brass relief, set against a vibrant turquoise-blue "crinkle" enamel background. The outer brass rim is intricately etched with gazelles, floral motifs, and "Israel" in both English and Hebrew.

Origin & Maker: Handcrafted in Israel by Mount Zion. The lower portion of the enamel is hand-signed "Mount Zion." The reverse retains original vintage Israeli shop stickers, confirming its provenance as an authentic export piece from the mid-20th century.

Material & Artistry:

  • Central Emblem: A highly detailed crown containing the Twelve Tribes of Israel shields and a central Menorah, accented with three faux gemstones (red, pink, and clear).

  • Border: The wide brass border features a "repoussé" style texture with symbols of the land, including the leaping gazelle.

  • Reverse: The plate is finished with a matte black coating and includes a factory-installed triangular wall hanger.

Age: Circa 1960s – 1970s.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The brass retains a warm, aged patina. The turquoise enamel is bright and free of major cracks. Minor age-appropriate wear to the black coating on the reverse. (Note: Please see photos for the original shop labels on the back).
