Dark, light, chocolate, cappuccino, speckles, blooms :) What they are laying is what you will be sent!
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any reason, as we cannot control shipping conditions, handling after delivery, or individual incubator/hatching practices. On our farm, our French Black Copper Marans maintain an average hatch rate of approximately 93% year-round under optimal conditions. Our eggs are laid and incubated on-site using commercial-grade equipment and carefully controlled conditions. Please also understand that Marans egg color naturally varies throughout a hen’s laying cycle. These hens are often referred to as “little printers” — they lay their darkest eggs at the start of a cycle, and the shell color gradually lightens as the cycle progresses. Receiving eggs that are not all “super dark 9s” on the Marans color scale does not mean the hens are incapable of laying very dark eggs. They will return to darker eggs again as a new cycle begins. Upon arrival, eggs should be placed into your incubator promptly. We recommend an incubation temperature of 99.8–100°F with humidity maintained between 62–70%.
