This is a mid grade item. It will have a few minor defects and will generally appear to be in "slightly used" but not "roughly used" condition. Most comics, magazines, and books published in the past 30 years that have been read but carefully handled and stored will fall in this grade range. Allowed defects for this grade include: minor corner wear (bends and blunting), a light accumulation of spine wear that may include color-breaking stresses, a light accumulation of dents, and bends or folds less than one quarter inch in length. Some color breaking is allowed in a bend or fold in this grade range.

Newsstand Edition. "The War Begins!" Part 1 of 12. Story by Jim Shooter. Art by Mike Zeck and John Beatty. This is it, the granddaddy of all epic events. Before Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis, House of M, Civil War, and Infinity Gauntlet there was Secret Wars. A nigh omnipotent being from beyond has, for lack of a better word, kidnapped the greatest heroes and deadliest villains in the Marvel Universe and whisked them to the far side of the universe to battle for the ultimate prize. One thing is for certain, the lives of these heroes and villains will never be the same again. - This is the first printing. Any 2nd printing will have the words "Second Printing" at the bottom of the first page. NOTE: Nearly all first printings contain a "Blue Galactus" from a printing error (a lack of magenta printing plates) that was corrected in later printings. While small number of First printings may have the correct colors, the majority of copies will have "Blue Galactus". Due to the frequency, "Blue Galactus" variants should be treated the same as other First Printings. 36 pages, full color.
