Ultramax Galaxy Bluetooth Battery Monitor (SOC Aggregator)

The Ultramax Galaxy Bluetooth Battery Monitor, also known as the SOC Aggregator, is an advanced wireless monitoring solution designed for UltraMax Bluetooth-enabled lithium battery systems. It intelligently collects, combines, and transmits real-time battery data from up to four batteries—without the need for direct wiring to each battery.

Using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, the monitor wirelessly reads state of charge (SOC), voltage, current, temperature, and alarm status from compatible UltraMax batteries. This information is then aggregated into a single system overview and transmitted via CAN Bus to inverters, chargers, or energy management systems, while simultaneously being viewable on the Ultramax mobile app (iOS & Android).

Step 1 – Wireless Data Collection
The device automatically scans and connects to nearby UltraMax Bluetooth batteries, eliminating complex wiring and reducing installation time.

Step 2 – Smart Aggregation
Battery data is mathematically combined into one clear system-wide SOC reading. Parallel systems sum current, series systems sum voltage, ensuring accurate monitoring for any setup.

Step 3 – Real-Time Monitoring & Integration
View live battery performance on your smartphone via Bluetooth, or integrate seamlessly with compatible CAN-enabled equipment for automated system control.

. Installation Guide

4.1 Mounting the Device

  • Install the aggregator within 10 meters of the battery bank (line-of-sight recommended).
  • Choose a dry, vibration-free, and clean area.
  • Avoid installation inside sealed metal enclosures, as they reduce Bluetooth performance.
  • Use screws for secure mounting.

4.2 Power Connection

  • Follow the polarity markings when connecting power.
  • Ensure the input voltage does not exceed 29.5 V.
  • Use correctly rated, fused wiring.
  • Confirm all wiring is secure before powering the device.

4.3 CAN Bus Connection

  • Connect the CAN wires as follows:
    • CAN High (H) → Inverter/charger CAN-H
    • CAN Low (L) → Inverter/charger CAN-L
  • Ensure the CAN Bus is properly terminated with 120 Ω resistors at each end.
  • Use shielded wiring for CAN signal integrity.
  • Observe correct CAN polarity to avoid communication errors.

Troubleshooting

Issue

Possible Cause

Solution

No batteries detected

Out of Bluetooth range / batteries powered off

Move closer, power cycle batteries

Incorrect aggregated SOC

One or more batteries not detected

Ensure all batteries are powered and broadcasting Bluetooth

No CAN communication

Incorrect wiring or missing termination

Check CAN polarity and add 120 Ω termination resistors

Poor Bluetooth performance

Metal enclosure or interference

Relocate the aggregator for improved signal

Important Note:
This monitor is compatible only with UltraMax lithium batteries equipped with built-in Bluetooth telemetry (or UltraMax Smart-Shunt systems).
