743mm 65.11g with no rosin and new hair
Fully tested 925 silver fittings
A well looked after bow with a good clean well cut mortise and rear nipple intact
This bow arrived seized and I replaced the screw thread and brass angled screw with new, due to both seizure and wear
Branded "F.N.VOIRIN a PARIS" no certificate hence, it may prove genuine yet I do not send off bows for certification
Sold as a COPY at a price reflecting this lack of certainty
In my opinion a Mirecourt Bow possibly "by" "Workshop Of" or close Vintage Mirecourt homage
A great condition bow which bears all the characteristics of a bow by this maker in superb materials.
Pre 1946 original face in cross grained natural off white material not bone, not plastic indicating genuine vintage and old age.
Stiff dead straight no indication of weak spots or excessive heating great timber dense stiff, no issues
Requires crushed rosin to prime the new Mongolian Stallion Hair only.
