This bottle was dug personally by me last summer on the battery in Charleston under a house on Tradd Street - adjacent to horse Lot Park. It is stunning glass work -with beautiful bubbles and amazing and perfect imperfections and it’s in absolutely museum quality condition. The only issue is a tiny bit of what looks like hardened dirt or tabby stuck around the rim, but it only adds to its authenticity. It did come out of the ground! This bottle could not display better -this beauty is cooler than the other side of the pillow.
It appears black under lowlight, and shows a deep sexy green under high light. I was paging through a book on collecting bottles at an antique store the other day and this bottle was in it on like page 5. I was like “I have this bottle!” That’s why I am listing it now.
Please see my other items- I run a construction crew that fixes historic foundations in downtown Charleston and I get to dig up a lot of cool stuff most jobs. We have a clean out clause, which allows us to keep everything we find through the process of removing decades of trash from under these homes.
No cracks chips or otherwise. Some really stunning imperfections like the swirly bottom edge and lots of bubbles.
