Antique French Confectionery Box – Pierre Garnier, Paris (c. 1890–1915)
Authentic antique wooden candy box from Parisian confectioner Pierre Garnier, clearly marked “Confiseur” and “250 Grammes.” This box dates to the late 19th to early 20th century (pre-WWI) and was originally used to hold French sweets or chocolates.
The lid features original black printed lettering and a decorative border, while the interior retains portions of its original waxed/grease-resistant paper liner, typical of confectionery packaging from this period. The box shows honest age-related wear consistent with over a century of use and storage.
This is not a cigar box — the weight-based labeling and confectioner designation confirm it was made for candy or chocolate.
