this is a vintage Orvis Battenkill two piece, 8 foot fly rod. Includes storage sock and the original Orvis case, all 3 serial numbers (56518) match. Line test is labeled as Orvis GBF 8, the other number (rod weight?) is 4 3/8 ounces. The rod is in very nice condition overall. There is one small dent in the tube and is shown in photo. This belonged to the grandfather of my recently deceased fishing buddy. I’m selling off some of his possessions for the family. Please note the rod has the name of my friends grandfather as well as being written on the case. I would guess this rod is about 70 years old, I believe the first 2 digits of the serial number are the year of manufacture. If you want any more info or additional pictures, please ask.
