Gorgeous pair of early 1900s - 1920s Art Deco slip cup Carmel glass cast iron light sconces. The lights have been restored/refurbished beautifully and brought back to life for many more decades of use and enjoyment.
These lights were given a two stage autumn gold over pewter hand rubbed gilding finish to achieve the gorgeous shimmering translucent copper toned color you see (these are not painted). The sockets and wires have been updated new along with some new pieces of hardware that were needed as well. The lights look absolutely stunning!
The original frosted Carmel glass slip cup shades are in overall good condition considering they are over 100 years old. There are some scuffs scattered throughout as well as one tiny inner shale chip on the inside top edge (pictured last photo), one of the shades have some line striations on the corner which looks to be from the manufacturing process (pictured). There are also some natural air bubbles in the glass scattered as well. No major breaks, cracks , or repairs.
