The handwritten message on the back—“J. Groebner, Buffalo Minn. Barber’s Pass”—provides a rare provenance clue. While “Barber’s Pass” does not appear in national records as a known place, exhibit, or event, it may refer to a local or privately named circus-themed model or diorama created or shown by J. Groebner in or near Buffalo, Minnesota (Wright County). It’s possible the card documents a folk art exhibit, fair attraction, or early hobbyist display from the interwar period.
