An very large & impressive original antique Japanese fluted vase, dating back to around 1860-1912, in fabulous original condition with just a small chip on the rim of the fluted top. I have given as clear as my camera would permit, the inscriptions at the bottom, together with close up images of birds of paradise and exotic flowers with their vibrant and deep rich colours. I've been informed that the marking are Hichozan Shinzo Sei, but cannot confirm. All interested parties should make their own enquiries. It is offered here in excellent condition, with no repairs or paint loss, but just one small minor fault as depicted in the last photo. This vase was collected from a large Grade II* listed country mansion in South wales where it was stored in a crater for decades wrapped in newspaper dating pre1910. Hence its excellent condition and retention of full vibrant colours.
