ORIGINAL 1970's RAF CHURCH FENTON  WALL PLAQUE - EXCELLENT CONDITION

A superb loft find - original 1970's vintage RAF Church Fenton hand-painted wall plaque (by C H Munday I suspect) in excellent condition.  Bought by a trainee at 7 FTS in late 1970s and stored in their loft ever since.  It is in excellent condition - virtually  unblemished - and even comes in the original box.

The box has v slight damage to the cardboard (above the word 'hand') and the cellophane on the lid which covers the plaque is unglued in part on the inside.  Not at all bad for 40+ years storage, especially as the plaque is in much better condition than the box!!

Originally a WW2 airfield Church Fenton was, during the 60s and 70s, a training base, latterly with Jet Provost aircraft.  It closed formally at the end of 1992.
