A beautiful authentic Victorian Copeland teacup dating to the mid-19th century.

This elegant cup features a rich iron-red transferware floral pattern with stylised blossoms and foliage, a design style inspired by the Victorian fascination with Oriental and botanical motifs. The gently faceted body and scalloped rim highlighted with hand-applied gilt create a refined and decorative silhouette typical of quality Copeland tableware.

The base bears the early “COPELAND PAT.” mark, used during the Victorian period, together with a hand-painted pattern number (5651). Pieces with this mark were produced at the famous Spode Works in Stoke-on-Trent, one of the most important centres of British pottery production.
