- Originally released on the Chronic imprint in 1982, this live recording was initially available in such scarce quantities that only the most die-hard of Jonathan Edwards collectors knew this existed. Starting off with a lively rendition of his biggest-known hit, "Sunshine," Edwards and band are in fine form delivering a brief nine-song session of country-rock and folk tunes (both original and covers), including the laid-back Caribbean-tinged "Sailboat" and "Daddy's Gone Singin'." This may not be the best place to start exploring Edwards' catalog, especially for those who only know his later work with children's songs or his early folk classics. But for those fans already familiar with his work, it's a stirring, pleasantly inoffensive live performance that's a sensible purchase. ~ Rob Theakston
