An Ordnance Survey Map produced in 1923 for the Ministry of Transport (MoT). The MoT classification system was established in 1922/23 to manage the rapid increase in road traffic. These maps were the first to accurately depict the now-familiar road numbering system. The map series was at a scale of half-inch to one mile. ∶On these maps, "Class I" (main) roads were shown in red, and "Class II" roads were in green. Cloth backed / dissected.
