The black is suede, which is highly unusual for jewelry today, but common in some of the Pensee pieces. In my opinion, it is in great vintage condition. The gold tone is as I pictured is super bright and shining. The crystals or rhinestones stones are bright and clean, and they are all securely in place.

It measures 2.5” across and 1.25” at its widest point, and is marked Made in France.

There is some wear to the gold tone - particularly inside the cuff. See all photos!

Henry à la Pensée Began in the 1800s as an upscale boutique in Paris selling high end clothing, gifts and accessories. The company continued to grow and open up more boutiques in France and in the late 1930s opened up a Flagship store in New York. The company focused primarily on upscale clothing, gifts and soft line accessories. There was not an over abundance of jewelry manufactured so it is difficult to find pieces in fine condition.
