Description This is a back cover felt (light-blocking sponge) replacement kit for the Nikon F2. If the felt on the back cover and mirror holder has become worn, sticky, or otherwise unusable, this pre-cut felt kit allows you to easily replace the felt. It will eliminate light leaks and rattle the back cover, ensuring safe use. While straight felts tend to twist when bending, these specially designed felts are laser-cut to the exact shape of the grooves, eliminating twisting. Includes three sets (enough for three cameras). 1. Peel off and clean the old felt using the included bamboo skewer or similar tool. 2. Soak a cotton swab in alcohol or benzene and rub the area where the new felt will be applied. 3. Peel the new felt from the backing. 4. Apply alcohol or water to the adhesive surface. While the adhesive surface is moist with alcohol or water, the tape's adhesive strength will temporarily decrease, making it easier to align and reposition. 5. Place the malt in the groove, roughly aligning it. 6. Use a flat-head screwdriver or a bamboo skewer with a flat end to press the malt in place, making sure it doesn't roll. You can reposition it before the alcohol or water dries, so work calmly. Three sets are included, so you can practice twice.
