Parts Grading
A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.

A Grade - The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.
B Grade - The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.
C Grade - The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage.
No Grade - A part that has not yet been graded.

All orders must be paid in full prior to shipment. Payments are processed through eBay. We accept credit card and cash for Local Pickup orders. If payment is not received, an Unpaid Item case will be opened for the sake of seller fee reimbursement.

Items are shipped after receiving cleared payment. We ship to US addresses within the continental 48 states. Shipping to AK, HI, PO Box, APO, FPO & US Protectorates: please contact first as we may be able to arrange shipping for an additional charge (depending on the part). Freight items must have a commercial address and part fitment must be verified via VIN prior to shipment.

International orders are shipped via eBay’s Global Shipping Program.

All parts must be returned in their original condition to receive full credit. Details regarding timeframe as well as payment for return shipping are outlined in the return section at the top of each individual eBay listing. Please message us with questions.

CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES OR SHORTAGES / Refund Policy

Please remember you are purchasing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) USED parts. Normal wear and tear from the previous use is expected. If you feel the item you received is in worse shape than you agreed to, please contact French Lake Auto Parts within seven (7) days of receipt of the Products. All claims, including claims for damage, defects and shortages or incorrect materials must be made in writing by Buyer within seven (7) days of receipt of the Products. French Lake Auto Parts must be given reasonable opportunity to inspect such Products to which any claim is made and reserves the right to replace any defective parts. All refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

French Lake Auto Parts will issue a refund on a part only if the following conditions are met

• The part bears the identifying mark which appears on all French Lake Auto Parts’ merchandise.
• The part has not been altered, modified, disassembled, overheated or damaged.
• The part has not been installed.
• The customer has their original invoice.
• The part is not a special order.
• The part is not a custom body cut.
• The part is returned within 7 days of the original purchase date.
• All shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

The expense of returning parts to French Lake Auto Parts is the purchaser’s responsibility whether that is in person or via shipping systems.

All refunds will be in the form of the original payment. If the original payment is made in cash, a refund check will be issued. Payments made by check will be refunded no sooner than 10 business days from the date of the invoice.

• Refunds will NOT exceed the original purchase price.
• No refunds on deposits or payments. Parts with deposits will be returned to stock after 30 days.

Non-Refundable Items:

• Brokered/non-stocked parts ordered specifically for your request.
• Parts that were removed specifically for you which require extensive time or cutting to remove from a vehicle are non-refundable.

Core Returns

Core returns must be drained of all fluids, assembled and complete as they were sold to you with the original containers and must be in approved rebuildable condition. Cores must be returned within 30 days to qualify for full core refund.

French Lake Auto Parts limited warranty

This Limited Warranty applies to all used auto parts sold by French Lake Auto Parts through eBay or at our business location in Annandale, MN. All parts sold “as is” except as expressly provided below. Please read this Limited Warranty carefully before purchasing.

1. Limited Warranty Coverage

• Duration: Most parts sold by French Lake Auto Parts come with a 90-day limited warranty, beginning on the date of delivery of the part, unless otherwise specified in this limited warranty, in the eBay listing for the purchased part, or in the sales documentation for the part at our business location in Annandale, MN (the “Counter Sales Documentation”).
• Scope: This limited warranty covers defects in the purchased part that render it inoperable or defective within the 90-day warranty period. If a part arrives defective/damaged or becomes defective within this period, and the claim is valid under the terms herein, French Lake Auto Parts will, at its discretion, either:
  • Replace the part with a comparable part in French Lake Auto Parts’ inventory, if available, or
  • Refund the original purchase price of the part.
• Core Products: Parts listed as “CORE” on eBay or in the Counter Sales Documentation are guaranteed only as rebuildable. To qualify for a limited warranty claim, the buyer must provide clear proof (e.g., photographs or inspection report) of a crack or damage rendering the core part non-rebuildable. Bolt-on items (e.g., sensors, valve covers, timing covers) attached to core short/long blocks are not covered.

2. Exclusions from Limited Warranty

• Convenience Items: Items attached to or included with the part, such as wiring, bulbs, sockets, sensors, coils, distributor caps, spark plugs, water pumps, filters, brake parts, backing plates, hoses, vacuum lines, u-joints, timing belts/components, or similar items, are considered convenience items and are not covered by this limited warranty.
• Seals and Gaskets: All seals and gaskets are the responsibility of the buyer and are not covered.
• Labor and Related Costs: This limited warranty does not cover labor, diagnostics, towing, rental car costs, or any other expenses related to the installation, testing, removal, or replacement of a part.
• Improper Installation or Use: Parts that are altered, disassembled, damaged during installation, or misused are not covered. For example, improper seating of a torque converter during transmission installation that results in a broken fluid pump voids the warranty.
• Fraudulent Returns: Parts returned without French Lake Auto Parts’ identifying marks, stamps, or heat tabs are not eligible for warranty claims.

3. Buyer Responsibilities

• Notification: For purchases through eBay, Buyers must contact French Lake Auto Parts through eBay within 48 hours of receiving the part to report any issues or initiate a warranty claim. For purchases that are not through eBay, Buyers must contact French Lake Auto Parts' sales department within 48 hours of receiving the part to report any issues or initiate a warranty claim. French Lake Auto Parts encourages buyers to cooperate in diagnosing the cause of any part failure to determine eligibility for replacement or refund.
• Return Shipping: Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning a part to French Lake Auto Parts’ business location at: French Lake Auto Parts, Attn: eBay Returns, 3531 County Road 3 NW, Annandale, MN 55302. No warranty exchange or refund will be given until the part for which warranty coverage is being sought is returned to French Lake Auto Parts at the cost and expense of the buyer. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if a returned part is determined by French Lake Auto Parts to qualify for a limited warranty replacement or refund due to defect or error by French Lake Auto Parts, the buyer will be refunded the cost of shipping the part back to French Lake Auto Parts.
• Inspection: All returned parts are inspected for installation damage, alterations, or missing components. Parts found to be damaged, altered, or missing components will not qualify for a warranty claim.

4. Non-Warranty Returns

• Returns for reasons such as “wrong part” or “not wanted” must be requested within 7 days of receipt and are not covered under this limited warranty. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs, and the part must be returned in its original condition, undamaged and unaltered.

5. Dispute Resolution

• Informal Resolution: Buyers and French Lake Auto Parts agree to attempt to resolve any disputes related to the purchase or warranty informally for a period of 60 days before pursuing arbitration.
• Binding Arbitration: Any unresolved disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in St. Cloud, Minnesota, administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator, and the decision shall be final and binding. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney’s fees, and the buyer agrees that no claims related to the purchase may be brought in any court of law, and must be resolved through binding arbitration pursuant to the terms and provisions of this paragraph above.
• Governing Law: This limited warranty and all disputes arising from the purchase shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

6. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties

ALL PARTS ARE SOLD “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT AS EXPLICITLY SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. FRENCH LAKE AUTO PARTS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL FRENCH LAKE AUTO PARTS’ LIABILITY TO BUYER IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE PURCHASE OF THE PART IN QUESTION EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THE PART.
