For sale is this pretty, fully restored cast iron fire surround in a Victorian / early Edwardian style, packed with charm.

It is a striking yet simple surround. It is generously proportioned and retains its original mantle shelf.

With no rear projection, it is perfect to go over an existing chimney breast opening or against a wall.

A classic chimney piece decorated with depictions of an English country garden, including oak leaves, primrose and thistles, this surround has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated and polished to bring out its original character.

Made of solid, heavyweight cast iron, the whole thing is in lovely restored condition. During restoration, we added a replacement antique mantle shelf.

It has been fully polished and coated for protection.

There are discreet mounting lugs on the outer body for simple and safe installation.

The item will be protective wrapped and delivered within 7 days using our insured couriers. On delivery the item will be carried into your home to a room of your choice.

Our fireplaces and surrounds are restored and finished using traditional methods and materials. A restored fireplace will bear well concealed signs of the restoration work and will have natural imperfections due to the nature of antique cast iron. This simply adds to the character of the piece in our view.

Payment:

We accept credit/debit card, Paypal and Apple Pay at the ebay checkout. Please contact us if you prefer to pay for your fireplace by bank transfer. Payments should be made within three days of sale. Please note that we are duty bound to report any non-payers to ebay.

Collection and delivery:

We will securely courier the item to most parts of the U.K. but please check with us if you live in a remote location such as the Scottish Highlands or Channel Islands.

For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice. The cost of delivery is a flat fee of £70 per item, payable at the checkout.

If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading. 

Installation:

If you are installing a heating appliance in your home, it is your responsibility to ensure that you or your builder follows building regulations and, where applicable, complies with HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations in the UK. Cast Iron Fireplace Restorations Ltd cannot accept responsibility for the performance or suitability of an individual fireplace, which should be assessed prior to installation by a suitably qualified installer.

If your fireplace is purely for decorative purposes, the HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations do not apply.

Returns and cancellation policy:

As most of our items are very old they are sold as described. We endeavour to give a genuine and honest description for every item to avoid any misunderstandings or issues.

If you are not completely happy with the item we will happily cancel the sale without fuss and provide a refund in accordance with Consumer Contract Regulations. You must return the goods to us within 14 days of receipt and they must be returned in exactly the same condition as when purchased.
