PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a complete T-style 1-1/2" filter system with a 500 mesh polyester element, known as a Vu-Flow Screen Filter System or a Rusco Spin Down Filter System.
The Vu-Flow/Rusco T-style screen filter spin down system is designed to be utilized in a wide variety of cold water applications. From keeping sand and large particles out of your lawn and turf irrigation system to removing sediment as part of your whole home filter, this versatile filter is also indicated for factories, livestock feeding systems and advanced liquid cooling systems. Sediment is visible through the clear filter cover making it easy to identify when the filter needs cleaning. Quickly and easily remove sediment by opening the ball valve at the bottom of the filter cover.
This complete filter system includes:
* A clear cover made of high impact polymer resin for maximum strength and durability
* The filter body (the top T-connection) made of PVC material with 1-1/2" slip x slip connections in and out
* 1/2" ball valve and spool of thread seal tape
* A reusable polyester filter element in 500 mesh
* Filter system measures 15-3/8"L x 5-1/4"W
Please note! T-style filter systems are identified by the port size and not by the diameter or length of the filter element. This 1-1/2" system means that the top inlet/outlet ports of the filter system "tee" are 1-1/2" PVC. The screen element inside this 1-1/2" filter system measures 8-1/8"x 1-5/8" and has a base with 4 protruding nubs.
This is an original Vu-Flow and Rusco OEM product, which they then brand after manufacture as either Vu-Flow or Rusco for distribution. This is supplied to us directly from their shared headquarters.

In general, use the coarsest screen deemed necessary to filter the material you want removed. This will result in longer runs between blow-downs.
