Seller Ken Reinhardt Koolfinds716 created table lamp. Tribute lamp 1939 NY World's Fair Trylon & Perisphere. Mounded brass base that measures 10 1/2" x 6" at widest area, tapers to 1 1/2" at front. Footed heavy brass 3" perisphere with removeable top section for storage within the sphere, stands 3 1/4" tall. (3) 5/16" solid round copper rods x 12" length make up the trylon, brass lamp finial to a point at the top of the 3 rods. Seen at the rear of the base are old bronze pattern makers letters & numbers NY - 39. All pieces, parts soldered, sweated construction, make as I go.
To illuminate the pair, I did install a small lamp well over the top of the trylon using old brass lamp tubing, an old brass armback, an antique nickel plated brass socket with shade, small in size 3" shade. Flip up and down switch with good insulator, new wiring, new vintage plug end, tested safe ready to use lamp. Overall height at the top of the lamp is 23". All surface clean, wiped with alcohol after assembly. Some dark areas, fine scratches, exposed solder with copper bright finish, aged appearance all present, wear to nickel plated finish at socket shade area, Patina evident. I stand behind my work 100% and do offer a lifetime as long as I live warranty on the assembly. All parts and pieces to make the lamp were hand picked over time from old timer's estates, no 2 the same, unique lamp, something different. Buyer to pay shipping charge.
