This is for the wall mount only, no planes or figures included.
This listing is for an easy to install multi directional wall mount system for displaying your 1989 Cobra Condor Z-25 from G.I. Joe.
A self-drilling drywall anchor and screw are provided. No drilling necessary, unless you are on a stud, then pre-drill with a 3/16" bit. You just screw the anchor into the drywall. They do not work well in plaster and lath - you may want to consider purchasing a toggle bolt anchor or installing on a stud if your wall is plaster and lath.
This is one of the heavier Joe planes I have mounts for. The acrylic bracket that holds it to the wall will be "springier" than some of the lighter planes - but it handles the weight just fine.
To Install:
Remove the wing bombs and slide the bomb release levers to the outer position.
Slide the H nuts into the bomb release lever track, and slide towards the inner position. There is an angled tab on the H nut - the tab goes towards the rear of the plane, and the angle goes up as it goes out (this makes sense when you see it).
Place the 4 rods of the mount into the 4 corresponding screw holes in the Condor.
The tabs on the side of the mount should be positioned directly over the H nuts. Install the provided screws with washers through the tabs down into the H nuts. You may have to finagle the H nuts a little for perfect alignment.
DO NOT CRANK THE SCREWS DOWN. Tighten them ONLY to the point that there is no slack where the screw can slide up and down. These nuts are just a safety hold down, they do not handle the weight of the plane. And if you crank them down too far, you may damage the plastic of the wing. This will also make more sense when you are installing it.
Attach the acrylic bracket to the wall with the included anchor and screw. Tighten just enough so that the bracket can swivel with some effort.
Line the locking nut of the mount up with the hole in the bracket, and install the screw. Tighten just enough that you can position the plane to your preference, then tighten the screw. This can be done solo, but an extra set of hands makes it easier!
