I am a firm believer in using a weed guard for most of my fishing. It allows you to cast into wood rocks weeds without the concern of snagging and losing the fly. You will be able to cast deep into cover and fish areas others pass up. If you are floating a river you do not have to stop and retrieve your fly from cover or lose the fly. It makes a difference.

This streamer has a 4/0 extremely sharp black chrome hook. Everything about this fly is designed to hold up to heavy duty abuse.

Very durable translucent Crystal Hair synthetic fibers extremely lightweight with each tie in point epoxied glued for the ultimate durability. The synthetic hair is hydrophobic and sheds water on the back cast. I use a 7wt rod/line on up.

On the retrieve the head remains  stationary while the tail moves back and forth in a realistic swimming action.
