If the studs in your wall do not line up with the pre-drilled holes in the rail, you will need to screw a headboard onto your wall. The headboard should be screwed into the studs in your wall.

You should keep at least 6 inches of space.

Your barn door should be half the length of the rail.

We don't recommend using our carbon steel kit outdoors

What is the maximum door weight?
The maximum weight capacity is 260lbs.

When do I need a headboard?
If the pre-drilled holes on the track don't align with your wall studs or if you have doorway trim. You will need a header board of the same thickness as your trim, secured into your studs, and then install the track onto the header board.
