This is a beautiful wooden hand-carved sculpture of an extended family. It is African, but I do not know from which country. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except that the base may be a separate piece. It's hard for me to tell. The piece measures 11 inches by 8 inches by 1 3/4 inches. It seems to depict an extended family consisting of three adult men, three adult women, and two children. I do not know what type of wood it is. It weighs 12.3 ounces. It is signed, but I do not know who the artist was. See photos.
