Edmund Scientific of Barrington NJ Lens Comparator Magnifier with US Made Leather Case

The eyepiece is about 2” tall and has a 1-1/8” diameter. Looking through the eyepiece I see angles, arcs & numbers but I have no idea what it would be used for.

The comparator is marked Japan and its leather case was Made in the USA
