HumidiCup S1 is an electronic cigar humidifier automatically keep cigars in desired humidity in a humidor. S1 is similar as M1 but with slim profile cartridge for desktop humidors up to 3 cubic feet size with 150 cigar capacity. The humidity inside the humidor is measured by a built-in high accurate humidity sensor. The micro-processor controls the quiet fan to run to blow moist airflow into the humidor according to the measured humidity value.The humidifier is factory set at 70% and can be adjusted from 40% to 90% by user to best taste. -20~+20 calibration date can be set by user.

1. Can the Humidifiers be used with moisturizing liquid such as Propylene Glycol?

Distilled water is recommended. Our test had showed an irreversible drift of 20% more had been caused by the propylene glycol .

2. Why dose the fan stop working?

The fan stops when the measured environmental humidity reaches the setting value or is higher than the setting value and runs when the environmental humidity is lower than the setting value.

3. How to install the humidifier?

Fill cartridge with CLEAN WATER until sponge is saturated. Pour out excess water from cartridge. Push the control unit until it clicks into place with alignment marks are aligned.

4. How often to add water to S1 for a table humidor?

Normally once a month and depends on the size, sealing status of humidor and environmental humidity.

5. Can the Humidifiers be used with a battery?

The humidifiers can be used with a 5V external battery BUT most cellphone power banks with low current shut-down function will shut down when the fan stops.

6. Why does my humidifier sometimes beep sometime?

It is High or Low value alert happened. The humidifier works normally but beeps every ten seconds if the readings are 10 more higher or lower than the setting value and last for more than 30 minutes to remind the uer to check the status of the humidifier. The beeping will disppear once the readings come back to the normal value.

7. Can the humidor be sealed well with the power cord?

The thin paper ribbon cable be used for passing through the seam of the lid and keep air-tightness.

8. How to place the humidifier(s) in a humidor?

Make sure the vents of the humidifier is not blocked. It is recommended the humidifier to be placed with the LED up toward. Keep at least one inches cdistance from the vents on the sides of humidifier to the cigars or walls of the humidor. For cabinet application, it is recommended to place the humidifier at the center of the top shelve and if there is second humidifier, to place the second one on the center of the middle shelve.

9. How to make sure the hygrometer of the humidifier is accurate?

Remove the cartridge and put the white control unit (hygrometer) with another hygrometer you are sure its accuracy together on the table. Compare the displayed humidity value of them when they are stable.

10. How to be aware the humidifier need to be refilled?

When the humidifier works normally but the readings are significantly lower compared to the previous values, we need to check if the sponge in the cartridge is dry. In addition, the humidifier will automatically beep to remind you to check the sponge when the readings are 10 more lower than the setting value and last for 30 minutes more.
