Included is:

Major Donald Keyhoe -“Flying Saucers from Outer Space” (1953) first edition

And

Aimé Michel- “The Truth About Flying Saucers” (1956) first edition in English translated from original French.

They show signs of their age, they are not flawless, but are in very good condition for being from the 50s.

Why are these books special? Other than both being first editions and vintage, the 1950s was a particularly big time for UFOs and Flying Saucer topics. (Think back to the future scene). Why?

Flying saucers were a major topic in the 1950s due to a combination of Cold War anxieties, rapid technological advancements, and a fascination with space exploration. These factors fueled public imagination, leading to widespread reports, sensationalized media coverage, and a cultural explosion of "flying saucer" themes in films, books, and toys. The fear of potential Soviet threats, combined with hopes and fears about the dawning Space Age, created a fertile ground for speculation about alien visitors.
