Sloppy Jalopy Resin & Lead Multi-Part Model Kit, British Army FV-432 APC, Unassembled. Bought sometime in the mid 00s but never constructed. Consists of solid resin body and lead parts (doors, tracks, wheels etc) plus instruction sheet. No markings or decals, allowing you to design your own colour-scheme. The FV (Fighting Vehicle) 432 is part of the British Army’s FV430 series of Armoured Fighting Vehicles. First entered into service in 1963, the FV432 is still in service today having undergone several upgrades. It is capable of operating as a Command Vehicle, an Ambulance, a Mortar Carrier, a Recovery Vehicle (designated the FV434), and the role it was designed for-Armoured Personnel Carrier or ‘Battle Taxi’. In its APC role it was capable of carrying 2 crew and up to 10 soldiers (from experience let me tell you it’s a VERY tight fit). Though largely retired from service it and its variants are still around and do pop up from time to time-there were several black-painted 432s in the background scenes where Cap is storming the Hydra Base in ‘Captain America-The First Avenger’!
