a7iii has got the maximum focal points ( a7iii will focus much much faster because of the 600 focal points where as the r model has only 290 focal points.) (SONY 50 mm is a great lens for a person who is into scenario photography. (wide angle covering a lot of area. for listing real estate or taking a pictures of mountains/sea.. and when at 50mm ( this 50mm and the 50mm is the best for portrait photography . you can go vertical or horizontal and take the pictures with maximum precision at 50mm . if you are at a party and want to take pictures of the party, then taking pictures from a close up to a 10 to 15 ft distance.
