🌸 Pair Chinese Masterpiece Yellow Porcelain Vases Imperial Influenced Design– Hand-Painted Floral Signed
🖌️ Subject & Medium:
A stunning matching pair of decorative Chinese porcelain vases, each showcasing hand-painted pink chrysanthemum and blue lotus flower designs set against a radiant Imperial yellow ground glaze. These vases embody the richness and tradition of Chinese Imperial style, making them exceptional display pieces or additions to any fine collection. C1970's.
🎨 Composition & Technique:
These vases feature a timeless, elegant form with graceful flared necks, rounded shoulders, and stable circular bases—designed to balance beauty with poise. The true standout, however, is the surface decoration.
Each vase is meticulously adorned with hand-painted chrysanthemums and lotus blossoms, executed in vibrant tones of pink, orange, green, and lavender.
🌸 The chrysanthemum, a symbol of longevity and elegance, is associated with endurance and the autumn season.
🪷🔵 The lotus, rising from the water, represents purity, renewal, and spiritual growth.
These motifs are richly layered atop a deep Imperial yellow glaze—a color traditionally reserved for Chinese royalty—creating a dramatic visual contrast that commands attention.
The technique involves traditional methods of layering and glazing, resulting in subtle shading, lifelike texture, and luminous colours. The hand-crafted nature of these vases gives each a unique personality. Both pieces are made from high-fired porcelain, giving them a smooth, slightly glossy finish and refined weight.
On the base of each vase, you’ll find hanzi character marks, adding authenticity and cultural value.
