White Dwarfs Symposium No 42 IAU International Astronomical Union St. Andrews Fife Scotland 11-13 August 1970 Astronomy Stars

We have acquired and are in the process of listing over 150+ books that belonged to Dr. Elizabeth "Pat" Roemer an American Astronomer whose research interests centered on comets and asteroids.  She discovered the asteroids "1930 Lucifer" (1964) and "1983 BOK" (1975) and was a co-discoverer of Themisto, one of Jupiter's moons. She was an Emeritus Professor at the University of Arizona and was instrumental in creating the Department of Planetary Sciences there.  She passed away in April 2016.

Condition: Hardback book with Dust Jacket in very good condition. Dust Jacket has light edgewear and rubbing, there is a small tear at the bottom edge on the back cover and is now in a protective mylar cover.  The book is blue boards with gold writing on the spine. The previous owner's name is written on the inside of the front cover along with a date. Elizabeth Roemer July 26, 1971.
