History of Aberdeen, North Carolina – Richardson (1976) – Malcolm Blue Historical Society – Illustrated Local History – Ex-Library

This is a 1976 publication of History of Aberdeen by Emma G.B. Richardson and Thomas C. Richardson, issued by the Malcolm Blue Historical Society of Aberdeen, North Carolina. This hard-to-find local history volume covers the early settlement of the Sandhills region, the Blue family, agriculture, industry, pioneer homes, genealogical profiles, and the development of Aberdeen from the 18th century into the 20th. The book includes numerous historic photographs, family portraits, maps, property plats, old homes, local businesses, and community landmarks—an important resource for Moore County researchers, family historians, or collectors of North Carolina town histories.

Condition: Ex-library copy with typical markings: stamps, stickers, and discard notices on the endpapers. Boards show some shelf wear, and there is noticeable corner wear (see photos). Interior pages are clean and fully legible, with strong binding and no loose pages. Oversized green hardcover with gilt title and illustration on the front.

A scarce title documenting one of the Sandhills region’s most historic communities, seldom seen on the market.
